Self Love and Nursing Heartache

Valentine’s Day, for those of us that are deliriously in love, it’s a wonderful day to be able to express your love to the rest of the world. But what about those of us that are perhaps recently single? Or those of us that are perhaps having to watch the object of our desire celebrate their love with someone else? Seeing everyone else’s declarations of love can be a trying time for those of us that are still searching. So, how do we deal with these emotions? Well, as demonstrated from the cards I have pulled; along with guidance from my Spirit Guides, the message is most definitely – put yourself back in control!
When we are feeling vulnerable, depressed and emotional, the most important thing to know is that, it is okay, it is okay to have theee feelings, and, no matter how much you think you are, you will not be the only person feeling this way come Valentine’s Day. So, instead of crying over a man/woman/person that is not by your side, use this opportunity to ‘break free’. The most important and and worthwhile act of self love we can do for ourselves is to let go of that which does not bring us happiness. If a situation is causing you misery and making you upset, then say enough is enough and break free from the situation.
Put yourself back in the drivers seat and make a deal with yourself that your new project, your new focus, is YOU. There is a wealth of love and happiness out there for you, and it is all within your grasp, but first you have to love yourself and believe that you are worthy of it.
This isn’t to say that you have to go insane and suddenly be out all the time and not caring about anything anymore, it’s about only embracing and connecting with things that make you feel good about yourself, and about looking after yourself as well. So make sure you are making sensible lifestyle choices, resting, taking some time to look after and love yourself.
Overall, there is no getting away from the fact that it will be a painful and upsetting time, but you know what, getting through that one day is going to make you so much stronger. There is a saying that my guides like to give me occasionally to pass on to people, which is “You got through yesterday, you are getting through today and you will get through tomorrow.” Sometimes a mantra like this can help us keep our focus and let us know that we are strong enough to get through those times that we know are going to be painful. Love yourself first, and then the universe will send you things that only bring love. Remember, if a situation is not bringing you happiness, then treat yourself to walking away from it and focusing on something that does bring you happiness and comfort.
Until next time my friends! Love and light 💕 Lola
